Kinale Hills Hike
The Kinale hills are ‘miniatures’ of Mt Longonot lies on the floor of the rift valley adjacent to Kikuyu Escarpment. The many hills rise at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, on the Eastern side which is the windward side.
The starting point to the top of the hill is from the Mai Maahiu/Naivasha road. The trek takes an approximate 2 hours to the top of the first hill and another 1 hours descent before doing the last 2 hours climb through Kinale forest to the end point which is at (Soko Mjinga) along Nairobi/Naivasha highway.
the top of the hill provides a magnificent view point of Lake Naivasha, Aberdares Ranges, Mt. Suswa, Mt Longonot & Kikuyu escarpment.
Birds will be encountered along the forest trails
Important to carry, extra drinking water, picnic lunch, a rain jacket, a warm fleece, a hat and wear comfortable walking shoes.
